As a world-class public research university, the University of Washington is uniquely positioned to model the future of neuroinclusive employment and education. With approximately 60,000 employees, UW serves as a primary driver of equity by piloting evidence-based practices on our own campus to demonstrate what is possible and set a national standard.
To accelerate this journey, university leadership and Institute personnel are launching a Center of Excellence. This center provides strategic guidance to UW units, helping them evolve into truly neuroinclusive learning and working spaces. By merging an entrepreneurial spirit with rigorous research, we partner with internal units to develop programs that serve as both proofs of concept and research sites. Throughout this process, we partner closely with neurodivergent individuals and communities to ensure lived experience guides every program, policy, and innovation.
